2020年10月16日に配信された単発シングル。2日前の10月14日に Kanye が Twitter でスニペットを公開し、48時間後にフル尺が公開された。プロデュースは Kanye West と Dem Jointz で、Dem Jointz は追加ボーカルも担当。歌詞は Kanye の2020年アメリカ大統領選出馬、所属レーベル（Universal / Def Jam）を相手取ったマスター音源の所有権を巡る対立、報道メディアへの不満を扱う。ワイオミングで録音。2021年8月9日、本曲とそのリミックスは全ストリーミングサービスから削除された。

"murder he wrote" は、TVミステリードラマ「Murder, She Wrote（邦題：ジェシカおばさんの事件簿）」をもじった言い回し。ここでは「ひと夏ずっと圧倒的だった」というラップ的な誇示。
